Hard at Work

posted in: RfL 2.0 | 2

Well, about to be at least. Faith and I just finished breakfast and I am about to start the notes for today’s podcast. I am going to be choosing the bands for today’s show after I finish this. I am doing an indie/lo-fi rock show today.

I am going to start to solidify my style though. I need to watch it that I do not alienate listeners by being all over the place. I still want to get out all of these great bands that nobody has heard of yet. I think that the answer is to do my rock/punk/metal show most of the time and maybe do one weekday and one weekend show with different music styles.

My first two music related shows were as diferent as I could make them. I went from metal to acoustic. I personally like the extremes but I can see where others would not.

I want to get the show done early today so that I can get a good bit of writing done today. I have more work ahead of me than I originaly thought as I am doing more of a re-write now rather than the updating that I originally planned.

Getting this book out by Christmas will be a gargantuan affair. I must pump myself up now, I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!

It is 8:00 am right now, hopefully I can avoid the noisy tourist crap that I went through yesterday. Nothing like screaming kids with whistles and bells to disrupt thought processes.

Well, I have to get to business. Until the podcast…

Be seeing you.

  1. Hi Eban…I like the contrasts. Personally, I like everything except country. You’d have to beat me with a stick to make me listen to country music! I like extremes in music listening. I tend to gravitate to the punk rock stuff on XMRadio’s Fungus 53 station when driving. At home on the computer I tend to listen to Live 365’s gothic and ethereal music. Anyway, I don’t know much about music but I do like listening all types of contrasting music. Just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone. I think more people should step out and explore all the music out there instead of sticking to one genre. Later, G
