Going Retro for a bit!

posted in: RfL 2.0 | 3

The old site design, which has been around a while, was starting to get to me. It was so dark, which I liked at first, but it was now becoming a bit oppressive.

I am now on a new course, living in North Carolina. We own our house for the first time and it appears that Faith and I may be settling down finally. We can finally own a house as for once, we do not have the specter of an international or even a big in-country move looming. We have seen lots so far, living in England, Austria, Germany, and many states since we started our adventure together back in the late 80’s.

Now that things are settling down, I want the site to be a bit more airy and open, less dark.

This does not mean that I am getting soft, just changing direction a bit. Hope you like the retro look, as this was one of the first RfL designs from the old days when RfL was just a blog and Podcasting was something I was yet to discover. It is updated of course, but you get the idea.

Driving rock mix later today! See you then.

Cheers!

  1. Your new look is much like my old look was for SFS! 🙂 I think you can have a clean, uncluttered look and still kick the righteous ass, to use a term. I’ve always been a big fan of use of “light spaces” in design.

Big congratulations on the house as well as the finished relocation. Getting settled into one spot does wonders for clearing the mind of unnecessary worries.

  2. I hadn’t thought about that, but you are right on target. Now you have the darker design, lol.

Life is nothing if not a continual ebb and flow.

Cool to see you around Bryce! Now, everyone, check out Suffering from Sanity! Link is to the left in the sidebar.

  3. Yeah! New Look! 😛
