Starting Wednesday, Sept 19 in Canada,U.S.A., and U.K., Microsoft will be offering Office to those with valid student Id’s for only $60.00! That is a deal. It will be launched in Italy, France, and Spain next week.

the promotion will run through April 30, so you have lot’s of time to get in on the deal.

Also, just if you were wondering, this price is for the high end , Ultimate Edition version of Office.

To be eligible, Microsoft said students have to be “actively enrolled” in a higher education program and have an e-mail address from that school.

Since I have been eyeing a course around here, I might look into this. I do love Open Office, but I have to admit the reason I don’t have Office on my machine is price. Even with Office, I would probably still use Open Office, but it would be cool to have just in case.
