Dakishimetai

I wanted to do something a bit different today. I am seriously fixated by aspects of Japanese culture and entertainment. I love manga and anime, and the music out of Japan always has an effect on me.

This song, Dakishimetai, by Jungle Smile is one of my favorites. This also happens to be the end song to the anime Super Gals.

Yeah, I know, Super Gals is not one of the super testosterone driven action titles, but still, it is one of my favorites, when I am not in the mood for the more intense stuff. I find the anime, and manga, well written. And even though the theme is of Japanese teenagers, I still find it very entertaining.

Here is the song. I hope you enjoy it.

BTW, I am thinking of starting another show at RfL. And yes, it is along the theme of this post. I am going to explore the legality of using Japanese music and starting a podcast of Japan only tunes. I already have M7 and The Plastic Soul Band. I just need some other tunes and I will be set.

Enjoy Dakishimetai. It translates to “I want to Hug You”

And what the hell, Here is Episode #23 of Super Gals!, enjoy!

And, the ending

I love anime also. I just came here from your other site. I was not into Super Gals, I thought it was just for teenagers, but I like that episod, I may watch it now.

I like Cowby Bebop, and Ghost in the shell best. That song was cool.

Why don’t you do your animation like anime?

I am going to tell my freinds about Reaching for Luciditry. You do a lot of good stuff.

  2. Thanks!

I also like Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell. I usually watch more serious stuff like that, but every now and then I get in a lighter mood. I also wanted to highlight the song.

The reason that I do not do my show like anime is that I am only one person. I takes a good sized team to do proper anime, as it is still done one drawing at a time, old school style. I have niether the time, or talent to do that right.

I was going to do a 2d version using anime studio software, and still may do snippets like that here and there, but the 3d is where my heart is now.

Thanks for commenting! And for letting your friends know about RfL!

    Cheers!
