Rick Wright

This is a sad day for fans of Pink Floyd, and for Rock and Roll in general. Rick Wright, founding member of Pink Floyd has passed away after a bout with cancer.

RfL is going silent today in memory of Rick. I have the piano of the Great Gig In The Sky going right now in my head.

The show at Live 8 is so much more of an important event now, the last time the classic Floyd lineup took the stage together.

First Syd, and now Rick. At least the music left behind is one of the greatest in rock history.

Rest in Peace, Rick.
