Thanks to Lockergnome, I Have a Childhood Memory to Share

Yep, over on friendfeed, Lockergnome posted his favorite toy from his childhood, which made me remember mine. I had the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle. Man I loved that thing.

Of course, that was just one of the Evel Knieval range of toys, but that was my favorite. It fit right in with my Tonka trucks, Planet of the Apes figures, Steve Austin with his 6 Million Dollar Man Rocket, and the original furry headed G.I. Joe’s.

I wish I still had that cycle, for the memories, and for the 40 Year Old Virgin scenario of making the big bucks.

Hey, memories only go so far. What would I do? Go out and play in my driveway? The neighbors would deem me strange or something. Yep, the cash would be better today.

Oh hell, who am I kidding? Hell yeah I would go play with it in the driveway. Screw the nosey assed neighbors.

Here is a video of the full range of Evel Knievel toys. Of all of the toys, he only actually used the cycle and rocket thing in real life. And hell, the rocket thing did not work out all that well. Snake River Canyon ate his lunch that day.
