When not dealing with the new media world, I enjoy reading, cooking, and working out. My wife and I are avid travelers and have lived in several states as well as England and Germany.

I Married my high school sweetheart, Faith, in 1989 and we currently live with our beagle/shepherd mix Elway and our pomchi Pepper in Raleigh North Carolina.

Favorite Books & Authors: Aspirin’s Myth series, Hitchhikers Guide Series, Good Manga, The Well Fed Writer by Peter Bowerman, along with many others.

And foremost, The Bible, The ultimate self-help book. Screw L. Ron Hubbard and his Dianetics crap.

Favorite Movies, Stars & Directors: I like a large range of movies as I look at movies as entertainment first, art second. Thus, there are many more movies that I like than don’t. I did hate Titanic.

Even though I look at entertainment first, I still recognize great movies when done well, such as Happy Gilmore. Total classic.

Even though I don’t like his politics, I think George Clooney may end up as the best, and most interesting, and likable, actors of my generation. He is also starting to resemble another favorite of mine, Sean Connery, as he ages. I would love to shoot the shit with him over a beer someday.

Favorite Music & Artists: If it is not country, or a total piece of premeditated corporate drivel, ala Nickleback, I probably like it. My favorites are Tchaikovsky, Danzig, Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Trivium, Beethoven, Black Label Society, Abba, Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, The Who, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles.

I also can’t get enough of all the tremendous independent musicians I play on my show. That is the heart and soul of the music scene for me.
