Thomas Sowell has a great ability to make terrific arguments about complex matters seem simple. This is the case yet again in his latest column where he talks economics, consequences, and politicians. Are, more to the point, the political class’ lack of economic understanding and how that gets us into hot water.

Check out the column here. If you read this and don’t get it, you may just be one of the useful idiots that puts their fingers and their ears and cries, “lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalaa,” whenever faced with facts or opinions counter to your own.

This article by Victor Davis Hanson sums things up nice. Yes, the rest of the world likes America now more than ever. It is the reasons why the attitudes have shifted that should worry us.

This is a great exchange with Jon Stewart of the Daily Show. People fault Ron Paul for some of his crazier followers, but he can’t be held accountable for that. Ron Paul is smart and sharp, and has great ideas. He is of course not perfect, but who is?

Enjoy this. He has a great rapport with Jon Stewart, who I also like. I don’t have to agree with someone all the time to like them and Stewart is smarter than most of his celebrity brethren.
