Sarah Palin’s book is doing well, and the former Vice-President candidate and Alaska Governor is sending a message. Just what that message is can be a bit confusing. Is she running in 2012? Is she heading towards being a conservative celebrity? Will she be a leader or a commenter?

Robert Ringer asks these questions in his latest column. He also gives some advice to Palin on how to handle herself in the public arena. This is following her Hannity appearance where she did not take Obama to task, but instead sidestepped Hannity’s questions.

Ringer is right. If Mrs. Palin is going for the conservative celebrity role, she is doing fine. If she wants to ignite the right and take a leadership role, she better take off the gloves, seriously.

President Obama’s presidential campaign focused on “making” the news media cover certain issues while rarely communicating anything to the press unless it was “controlled,” White House Communications Director Anita Dunn disclosed to the Dominican government at a videotaped conference.

The White House stopped providing guests to ‘Fox News Sunday’ after Wallace fact-checked controversial assertions made by Tammy Duckworth, assistant secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs, in August. Dunn said fact-checking an administration official was “something I’ve never seen a Sunday show do.”

“She criticized ‘FOX News Sunday’ last week for fact-checking — fact-checking — an administration official,” Wallace said Sunday. “They didn’t say that our fact-checking was wrong. They just said that we had dared to fact-check.”

Okay, it is right there. You are not to ever fact check what this administration says!  They are the irrefutable OVERLORDS! Read the rest here. Wonderful things there, like the Stained House trying to get other networks to marginalize Fox News. If this does not bother you, you have no business living in this “free” country. Seriously.

Seriously. if there was ever a reason to doubt the validity of the Nobel Prize–and there always seems to be a reason, this seals the deal.

Really, Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. He has made some speeches–mostly filled with the words ‘I’, and made some folks feel warm and fuzzy, but what has he done? He threw allies under the bus by pulling the missle defense from Poland and the Czech Republic. He has hugged up on dictators. He talks big about Afghanistan then waffles and fumbles when asked for  a strengthening of troops.

Oh, wait, he made a last minute heroic flight to to save the Chicago Olympic bid in Copenhagen. While there he made another speech that was all about him, then fell flat on his face. Hmmmm, on second thought, maybe that was not a victory for him either.

He has been chastised and called naive in foreign policy by French President Sarkozy due to his stance on nuclear disarmament. Of course, if you are in the U.S. and get your news from the MSM, it is safe to say you know nothing about that incident.

Hey, what is his latest stance on Israel? Anybody?

Seriously, the Nobel Peace Prize?  I wish I was Jewish, just for a minute, not just to stand in solidarity with the people of Israel, but because the only thing coming to mind to end this post is, “Oy Vey!”

This article by Victor Davis Hanson sums things up nice. Yes, the rest of the world likes America now more than ever. It is the reasons why the attitudes have shifted that should worry us.

And, after the good stuff above, why not find out how fun it is to use the kids to make your political statements. Well done CNN and whoever taught the kids this song. I guess the left will use any weapon, even kids to get their message across. Check out the video here.

I could write in depth here about the narcissism of the first couple. As a matter of fact, many people are doing just that. It does seem as if they think the world revolves around them.

The latest dust up is the CIC’s late night trip, and his wife’s trip with Oprah, to shore up the Olympics for Chicago. Unfortunately, that did not work out all that well for them.

People are starting to count the “I’s” in the speeches made by both the President and the First Lady. Some are starting to keep track of the overused, and overreaching, cliches in the delivered oratory.
